What we collect

• Account details: first name, last name, email address and password hash.
• Your investment budget, saved investments, share counts and cost basis.
• Your watchlist and notification preferences.
• Basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

Your data is used to personalise recommendations, calculate returns on your saved positions, and send the email alerts you opted into. We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

Visitors who are not signed in

Anyone can browse Hypertime without an account. Signed-out visitors may request up to three fresh data retrievals in any rolling 24-hour period; saved public information stays readable at all times. To count those three requests fairly, we take the network address your request arrives from and immediately convert it into a scrambled code using a secret key that only our servers hold. The code cannot be turned back into your address, we do not store the address itself, and neither the address nor the code is ever sent to your browser.

• Why we do it: to apply the three-request allowance, discourage abuse, and keep the service available for everyone.
• Where it lives: in a separate record that holds only the scrambled code and the time of the request — never alongside the public stock information we save for everyone to reuse.
• How long we keep it: entries are deleted automatically once they pass 24 hours.
• What we don't do: we do not use browser fingerprinting, and we do not show network addresses on administrator screens or in ordinary logs.

Shared public information

Prices, filings, compliance notices and news that Hypertime retrieves are saved once and reused by everyone, so the same information is not fetched over and over. That shared store holds public company information only — never your account, your holdings, your purchase prices, your alerts or the code described above.

Email

Automated alerts are sent from a no-reply Hypertime address. You can change or switch off every alert type from your notification settings at any time.

Storage and security

Data is stored in a managed, access-controlled database. Traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS, and rows are isolated so only your account can read your records.

Connected brokerage accounts

If you choose to connect a brokerage account, a specialist connection provider (SnapTrade) handles the sign-in on your behalf. Hypertime never receives or stores your brokerage username, password, security codes or security questions.

• What we receive: your account names and masked identifiers, account type and currency, cash and account values, your positions and their quantities, cost basis where your brokerage supplies it, and recent transactions.
• Why we receive it: only to display your holdings inside Hypertime and, where you choose, add them to My Investments. It is not sold, shared for advertising, or used to advise you.
• The connection is strictly read-only. Hypertime cannot place, change or cancel a trade, and cannot move money.
• Information from your brokerage may be delayed or incomplete. Missing values are shown as unavailable rather than estimated.
• How long we keep it: for as long as the connection exists. Disconnecting stops all future updates; choosing to delete imported data removes what was imported. Investments you entered yourself and Training Wheels positions are never removed by either action.
• Access tokens held for your connection are encrypted and stay on our servers only; they are never sent to your browser.

Referral codes

If you sign up with a referral or affiliate code, Hypertime may record the code, the referring affiliate, the plan you select, and related membership or payment status to administer referrals and commissions. Affiliates do not receive your identity, your investments, or your brokerage data.

You can update your email, password and profile from your account page, or request export or deletion of your data using the form below.
