Data sources & methodology
Hypertime brings together public market, exchange and news information about companies trading below $1.00. This page explains the categories of sources behind what you see.
Market prices
Current and historical prices, trading volume, market capitalisation, all-time highs and price history come from public market-data feeds published by the exchanges and major financial data providers. Prices are not real-time streaming quotes; they may be delayed and are cached for short periods so pages load quickly.
Exchange-compliance information
Listing standards, the $1.00 minimum bid price requirement, the 180-day cure period and the ten-consecutive-close cure test come from the published NYSE and Nasdaq listing rules. Where an exchange notice date is not publicly available for a company, Hypertime estimates it from the price history — the first point at which the stock had closed below $1.00 for 30 consecutive trading days. Estimated dates are labelled as such and are not exchange determinations.
Regulatory information
Rule changes, cure-period mechanics and reverse-split requirements are drawn from exchange rule filings and from securities-law publishers and law-firm commentary that report on them. These appear on the Compliance Rules page with a link back to the original publisher.
Public filings
Company disclosures — including deficiency notices, extension grants and compliance regains — are sourced from company press releases and public filings as reported by the company or by the publishers covering it.
Company-specific news and coverage
Article headlines, summaries, publishers and links are aggregated from public news feeds and search results. Hypertime shows the publisher and source domain for every article and links to the original story; it does not republish full article text.
Recovery chance
Recovery chance is an internally calculated estimate based on price momentum, distance to $1.00, time remaining in the cure window and trading volume. It is a model output, not a prediction, guarantee or exchange determination.
Accuracy and verification
Information shown in Hypertime may be delayed, incomplete, mis-attributed or subject to later correction, and sources occasionally disagree with one another. Always verify anything material against the company's own disclosures and the relevant exchange before acting on it. Hypertime does not provide legal, financial or investment advice.
